Always told by his grandmother that man is on the outer exterior, and God is in the heart. Thats a saying that he lives by saying it explains if you put God first then nothing is impossible. With so many artist from his home state taking the unofficial name to being the King or Prince of Missouri, he just remains calm and patiently waits for his time to come. Born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri, Delwin Ashley better known as D-Dub, is the quite kept secret from the Midwest. With a consistent lyrical flow he is trying to take the game by surprise. He has already built a name for himself in his hometown and is looking to take over not only his state or region, but the whole industry. With the maturity level of a thirty year old, charming personality and swagger that any person would compliament, he has much respect from people all over the country. And the professionalism and dedication proves that he was born to make music and is not just in it for the money. With the background of a musical family and the encouragement of friends and peers, D-Dub feels like there is nothing that can hold him back of chasing his dream. Starting out making music at the age of nine and completing his first demo at the age of 12, D-Dub has a advantage on competition by having more experience then most his age. Also doing shows with famous artist such as MIMS, Tech N9ne and Bobby V, he has good experience with doing shows with some of the best. Being raised by his grandparents and forced to to grow up without a father figure in his life, D-Dub became more of a independent individual and began writing to keep himself occupied and to get away from worries. Giving music a break after enter junior high school, D-Dub began making music again after a best friend asked to make a song with him. After hearing the response that the hit single "Gotta Lotta Dough" recieved from friends, family, and other artist, the two formed the group "Exclusive" in 2007. Till this day the group has sold over 3,000 copies of there EP album "Graduation EP" which only had six songs on it ( seven on special edition version). D-Dub is a forced to be reckoned with when he hears a instrumental. Without being given a hook or subject, he is known to say things in his head as if he were talking to himself and then writes them down and can complete song within 20 minutes. Being raised in Lee's Summit, D-Dub was ver underrated in the music game but he calms he loved growing up in a suburb because of the different varieties of music he was introduced to and has since preclaimed himself as the "Prince of Lee's Summit". Living by his own quotes such as " Respect the Respected ", " Success breeds arrogance and arrogance breeds foolishness " and " Never get caught up in the past cause life chooses to move on even you decide not to ", he is full of wisdom and a large vocabulary . With his lyrical ability, versatile change up and unique love for music, Delwin "D-Dub" Ashley is a rising artist sure to make it to the top with his dedication and determination.
